The UK Skilled Worker Visa replaced the Tier 2 (General) Work Visa. Let’s understand the eligibility requirements for a UK Skilled Worker Visa.
To qualify for a UK Skilled Worker Visa, you must:

Have a ‘Certificate of Sponsorship’ (COS) from your employer with information about the role you’ve been offered in the UK
Do a job that’s on the list of eligible occupations
Be paid salary at an appropriate level (you will usually need to be paid at least £25,600 per year or £10.10 per hour, whichever is higher)
Meet the English language requirement (you must prove you can read, write, speak and understand English to at least level B1 on the (CEFR) scale)
Meet the maintenance funds requirement
Your visa can be valid for up to 5 years before you need to extend it. You’ll need to apply to extend or update your visa when it expires or if you change jobs or employer/s.
